Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 August 2026
This policy explains how the RacePacer pilot, currently presented as Personal Pacers Valencia, handles personal data submitted through this website and its request and application forms.
1. Who controls your data
The data controller is the RacePacer pilot, operated by Alexander Tsybin in Spain. For any privacy question or request, email racepacer.team@gmail.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers visits to this website, requests from runners or coaches looking for a pacer, and applications from people interested in becoming a pacer.
3. Personal data we collect
Depending on the form you submit, we may collect:
- Name, email address, telephone number, city, country and languages.
- Race, date, distance, entry status, starting wave and target time.
- Personal bests, recent results, result links and relevant pacing experience.
- Preferred support, communication style, regions, availability, fee expectations and budget.
- Messages, notes, confirmations and consent choices you provide.
- Basic referral or campaign information and technical data needed to deliver and secure the website and forms.
The initial forms are not intended to collect medical information or other special-category data. Please do not include unnecessary health information in free-text fields.
4. Why we use personal data
- To review and respond to pacing requests and pacer applications.
- To assess availability, suitability, performance evidence and compatibility with race rules.
- To suggest and coordinate potential matches and prepare the requested service.
- To verify identity or race results when a candidate reaches the relevant stage.
- To protect the pilot, its participants and its forms from misuse or fraud.
- To understand pilot demand using limited, aggregated referral information.
We do not sell personal data and do not use automated decision-making to approve or reject matches.
5. Legal bases
Depending on the purpose, we process personal data because:
- It is necessary to take steps you request before a possible service agreement.
- You have given consent for a stated purpose.
- We have a legitimate interest in operating a safe, reliable pilot, preventing misuse and measuring basic demand.
- Processing is needed to comply with a legal obligation, if one applies.
We will not send marketing messages without an appropriate separate choice or another valid legal basis.
6. Who may receive personal data
We may share the minimum necessary data with:
- Tally BV, which provides and stores the submission forms as a data processor.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the website.
- A prospective runner, coach or pacer when needed to evaluate or coordinate a match. Private contact details are not shared publicly.
- Professional advisers, service providers or public authorities when reasonably necessary or legally required.
7. International transfers
Tally states that form data is stored in Europe. Some providers or their subprocessors may process limited data in other countries. Where required, transfers are covered by recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. Cloudflare operates a global network.
8. How long we keep data
- Unsuccessful, inactive or withdrawn requests and applications are normally kept for no more than 12 months after the last meaningful contact.
- Data connected to an active match or booking is kept while the service is being arranged and afterwards when reasonably needed for legal, accounting or dispute purposes.
- Data may be deleted or anonymised earlier when it is no longer needed or after a valid request.
Limited copies may remain temporarily in secure provider backups. Tally states that deleted form data is removed from its backups within a maximum of 90 days.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal data. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send requests to racepacer.team@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
10. Security
We use reasonable access controls, account security, data minimisation and trusted service providers. Pacer contact details are not intended for public display. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
11. Cookies and third-party services
This website currently does not use advertising analytics cookies. Tally forms and Cloudflare may process necessary technical information to provide, secure and prevent abuse of their services. Their own notices provide further detail: Tally Privacy Policy and Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the pilot develops. The current version and its date will remain available on this page. Questions can be sent to racepacer.team@gmail.com.
